As a Security Officer - Access Protocol in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and assist with routine patrols to help maintain a secure environment. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication to employees, visitors, and drivers. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, visitor appointments, driver credentials, and authorization for entry and exit in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic at access points; document arrivals, departures, and other required information accurately.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
