Title: Associate Transportation Manager (Parking)

Job Overview:

NYRA is seeking a and highly effective Parking and Transportation professional to support the organization’s Parking and Transportation functions. You will play a key role in executing day to day parking operational plans, safety protocols, and logistics that uphold the broader objectives of the organization’s Operations Strategy. In this role, you will apply practical, hands on knowledge of traffic flow, parking management, guest movement, and on site coordination to implement best in class procedures, service standards, and operational efficiencies. You will be responsible for supervising parking operations, directing transportation logistics, and ensuring a seamless, safe, and efficient experience for all guests and staff across the property.
You may be required to travel to Belmont, Aqueduct and Saratoga, depending on where the meet is taking place. Training will take place in person in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Essential Functions:

• Works under general supervision to execute key operational tasks within the Parking & Transportation team, following established best practices to uphold organizational safety and service standards.
• Independently oversees parking, traffic flow, and transportation logistics during assigned shifts, ensuring a safe, efficient, and guest focused arrival and departure experience.
• Addresses routine guest concerns related to parking, shuttles, and transportation access, escalating more complex operational issues to senior leadership when necessary.
• Assists in reconciling daily parking activity, shuttle logs, staffing reports, and operational checklists, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
• Collaborates with Security, Guest Services, and Operations to coordinate crowd flow strategies, special event parking plans, and communication of transportation updates to guests.
• Provides feedback on operational efficiencies and recommends improvements to enhance traffic management, guest navigation, and overall parking and transportation effectiveness.
• Coaches and supports junior team members on operational procedures, safety protocols, and best in class service techniques to maintain a consistent standard of excellence.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in parking operations, transportation logistics, facility operations, traffic management, or a similar front line supervisory role.
• Proven ability to lead on site teams in a fast paced, customer facing operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of parking systems, traffic flow principles, and guest movement logistics, especially during high volume events.
• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to real time operational challenges.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues appropriately.
• Ability to interpret and assign schedules, activity logs, and operational reports, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfort working outdoors, standing for extended periods, and navigating the property during all weather conditions.
• Proficiency with basic technology and operational tools, including handheld devices, radio communication, and incident reporting systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate transportation vehicles or carts as required.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and special events based on operational needs.
