Job description

Description

The Midera Corporation is seeking a hands-on, organized, and motivated Protein Processing Showroom Technician to support operations within our state-of-the-art Protein Showroom. It serves as a global showcase for innovative protein processing technologies, bringing together customers, engineers, and industry professionals to evaluate equipment, conduct product trials, and demonstrate processing solutions.This role is ideal for someone with experience in meat processing, food manufacturing, food equipment, field service, or similar technical industries who enjoys working with equipment, troubleshooting processes, and supporting customer demonstrations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and prepare protein processing equipment for customer visits, product evaluations, and live demonstrations.
  • Support equipment testing, product development, and validation activities in collaboration with engineering and applications teams.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify operational issues, and assist with troubleshooting and process improvements.
  • Perform equipment changeovers, cleaning, and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
  • Prepare meat, poultry, and other protein products, along with ingredients and materials, for processing trials and evaluations.
  • Document testing results, equipment performance, and observations to support product and equipment assessments.
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and quality standards throughout all processing and showroom activities.
  • Keep the showroom and work areas clean, organized, and presentation-ready for customer visits and demonstrations.
  • Manage inventory of ingredients, packaging materials, and facility supplies, including receiving, storing, and handling materials.
  • Provide operational support to ensure demonstrations, customer visits, and projects run smoothly.
  • Welco me and assist customers, vendors, and colleagues in a professional manner during demonstrations, training sessions, and equipment evaluations.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Meat Science, Food Science or a related field.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with processing equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in Meat or Protein Sciences, Process Engineering, or Equipment Design.
  • Experience supporting equipment demonstrations, pilot plants, test facilities, or customer-facing technical environments.
  • Basic troubleshooting and mechanical repair experience.
