Summary of the Position:

Tishman Speyer is seeking to hire a Seasonal Patrol Officer to join the Rockefeller Center team. The Seasonal Patrol Officer will enforce rules and policies to protect the property and safety of people on the premises while creating a welcoming environment for our customers (tenants), visitors, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the health and safety of the building on par with Tishman Speyer standards.
  • Ensure the safety of all our customers (tenants), visitors, and the community.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Passion for upholding safety standards while creating a hospitable and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Required to operate elevators with frequent ascending and descending.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English, verbally and written.
  • Give and receive directions from customers (tenants), visitors and emergency personnel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for an extended period, at a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Needs to be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, place objects such as metal barriers and bollards less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to raise and lower banners and flags from flagpoles and open and close doors and gates on manually operated elevators and loading docks less than or equal to 15 pounds of pressure.
  • Needs to be able to withstand extreme heat and cold temperatures, varying from 0 -100+ degrees, for extended periods of time, as well as rain, sleet, and snow and work on indoor and outdoor posts on an Observation Deck as high as 85 floors.
  • Ability to travel between floors and buildings.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment that may be required when performing routine Patrol Officer duties and when working near or walking through areas of renovation/redevelopment to perform Patrol Officer tasks, such as but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, disposable gloves, hearing protection, face mask for infectious disease control, nuisance dust mask, closed shoes with non-slip soles.

The base compensation range for this role is $21.60 per hour.
