Job Title:ย Dental Assistant

Work Location: Middletown, CT, 06457

Duration : 2 months

Duties Include:

  • Performs instrument exchange procedures for operative dentistry (including general dentistry, pedodontics, prosthetics, orthodontics, periodontics and oral surgery)
  • ย Prepares dental restorative and prosthetic materials.
  • ย Assists in oral surgery as required.
  • ย Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations on infection control and sterilization.
  • ย Ability to take digital X-rays
  • ย Competent with electronic dental health records
  • ย Prepares and performs daily maintenance of major equipment.
  • ย Maintains equipment and supply inventories.
  • ย Schedules appointments.
  • ย Prepares a variety of requests for individual diagnostic testing.
  • ย Illustrates proper preventive dental hygiene to individuals.
  • ย Assures completeness and accuracy of dental medical records.
  • ย Prepares reports and correspondence.
  • ย May participate in dental health information program.
  • ย May pour molds when necessary.
  • ย May act as triage and/or receptionist for incoming individual telephone calls.
  • ย Performs related duties as required
