Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the global planning, execution and programs coordination of the Controls and SW platform solution for Engines / Transmissions / Hybrid / Battery / Charging / eMotor Electronic Control Units (depending on the job posting). Being a Controls Manager will mean to have daily challenges but also great satisfactions. Every day will not end without you learning something new.

The Controls Manager responsibilities include but not limited to: Providing Feasibility and cost assessment for Controls & SW to the vehicle/programs. Representing the Controls System (Controllers and SW) vs the Propulsion System Community as primary interface. Coordinating Controls Features development.

Defining Feature Roll-out Plan (What and When) that aligns to over all program milestones and objectives. Playing a key role in the Controls & SW change Management, Quality assessment and Risk mitigation. As you will be working on Complex Systems, it is essential the successful candidate can show a proven record of working on his/her own initiative and within a team delivering high quality and robust technical solutions Requirements: Bachelor/Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience (5 years in automotive) Ability to work in an Agile environment Previous experience as Controls/SW developer, testing or calibration engineer will be considered a plus Fluent English Be proactive, take ownership and be accountable Don't be afraid if you do not have some of the qualifications. You will be surrounded by a team willing to help you grow and gain new skills Additional Information / Must Have's: Self Starter/Vocal/ Confident Ability to work in an Agile environment Be proactive, take ownership and be accountable Driving company vehicle is required Amount of travel: 15% (local Metro Detroit plants) Contract to hire
