Job description

OMESCAPE is looking for a a practical, hands-on technician and game builder to help build, maintain and repair immersive escape room games. This role is ideal for someone with experience in carpentry / woodworking and low-voltage electronics.


Responsibilities:

  • Build, install, maintain, and repair escape room props, puzzles, and scenic elements
  • Perform carpentry and woodworking tasks, including building furniture, hidden doors, cabinets, compartments, wall pieces, and set structures
  • Work with low-voltage electronics, including wiring, buttons, sensors, LEDs, magnets, relays, audio players, locks, and control systems
  • Troubleshoot game issues quickly and accurately
  • Repair or rebuild broken props, scenic pieces, furniture, and mechanisms
  • Assist with building new escape room games from concept to installation

Qualifications:

  • Experience with carpentry, woodworking, cabinet building, set building, or prop fabrication
  • Experience with low-voltage wiring, basic electronics, sensors, LEDs, relays, switches, or magnetic locks
  • Comfortable using power tools and hand tools safely
  • Able to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic problems
  • Willing to learn new skills and work on different types of projects
