 Applications are being accepted for the following position: 


Assistant Drama Director - High School


Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year

Posting Period:                   May 22, 2026 - until filled

Salary:                                 Based on years of experience as outlined in the CLEA Agreement

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  • Assist in producing a fall and spring play
  • Assist in reviewing and choosing plays
  • Attend rehearsals
  • Assist in creating practice and performance schedules
  • Assist in communicating times for auditions, practices, and other events.
  • Assist in reviewing and supporting rules for rehearsals/building time as needed
  • Audition actors
  • Uphold rules of participation
  • Plan with the crew (stage manager) the items in storage and those to be sourced for props/sets
  • Supervise and direct cast and crew during rehearsals, practices, and performances
  • Assist and train crew with lights and sound
  • Recruit extra help for shows as needed
  • Assist in collecting and submitting funds taken in from shows and fundraisers
  • Assist in organizing timely clean-up post-show (take down sets, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned by the Lead Director
