Gunton Corporation, the largest independent distributor of Pella Windows & Doors in the country, is an innovative leader in our industry. Our Sales Representatives provide solutions for our customers' window and door needs and are key to our success since 1932.


Due to our continued growth, we are actively expanding our Outside Sales Team that establishing strong professional relationships with Architects, General Contractors, and Property Owners while aggressively pursuing all projects open for competitive bids. Come be a part of our exciting growth!


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a business plan that will establish activity levels and target account acquisitions for the upcoming year to allow you to achieve your sales goals.
  • Build margin in proposals leveraging our product lines, installation, and pre-finishing capabilities into a competitive package.
  • Focus on new account acquisition, establishing relationship with Architects, General Contractors, Construction Managers, Developers, and Property Owners.
  • Relentlessly pursue all projects open for competitive bids and turn quoted projects into committed business.
  • Use trade shows, association meetings, and events sponsored by related Commercial and Trade Organizations to build a network of relationships and a reputation within the commercial community.
  • Continually update and leverage knowledge of Pella and competitor products.
  • Always exhibit the highest standard of personal ethics and adhere to all Gunton Corporation policies.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to the Commercial Segment Manager


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience cold calling as a form of business development
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry sales tools that could weigh up to 50 pounds

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree
  • Experience in Outside Sales
  • Knowledge of blueprints and specifications
