Job description

The initial job function will be to work with a Senior Designer and learn how to develop a machine /equipment concept and price. Mechanical aptitude with automotive components is a must. Within two years, we expect this individual to grow into the primary function of reviewing and evaluating inquiries independently and to develop comprehensive and competitive engineering proposals in the preparation of commercial quotes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Provide support to Senior Designers and Project Engineers
• Generate AutoCAD and NX layouts
• Composition and pricing of proposals, maintenance of pricing structure
• Organization of customer standards and of job order releases
• Coordination of proposal files
• Correspondence with customers
Education & Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to comprehend 2-D drawings
• Proficient use of AutoCAD (2012 and higher)
• Knowledge of mechanical design, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Knowledge of NX is a plus
General Requirements:
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong math skills and understanding of mechanics
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Willing to work overtime as needed
• Willing to travel domestic and international
