Job description

About Hembree Bell Law Firm
Hembree Bell Law Firm isn't your typical family law firm.
We're modern. We're strategic. We're human.
We help good people through hard things, divorce, custody battles, and everything in between-without losing their sanity, their kids, or their financial future.
También ayudamos a familias que necesitan orientación clara en su propio idioma.
Porque entender tu caso no debería ser una barrera.
Let's be honest
It's Sunday night.
You're thinking about Monday... and it already feels heavy.
The work is fine.
The team is fine.
But it's not right.
You didn't become a lawyer for "fine."
What if you chose different?
Work that actually matters
A team that shows up for each other
Clients you can genuinely help
A place where you can be excellent and human
Eso es lo que estamos construyendo aquí.
We are actively looking for a Spanish-speaking attorney who can confidently:
  • Handle family law cases in Spanish
  • Communicate directly with clients-no translator needed
  • Explain legal strategy clearly in both English and Spanish

Buscamos a alguien que pueda decirle a un cliente:
"Te explico exactamente qué está pasando en tu caso y cuáles son tus opciones."
Not just conversational Spanish.
Real experience. Real representation.
If that's you, we are open to increased compensation for the right candidate.
Lo valoramos muchísimo.
Because helping people shouldn't mean burning yourself out
Because serious work doesn't require a miserable culture
Because we care about how you practice-not just how much you bill
Because growth, mentorship, and autonomy actually exist here
And yes-Austin. Tacos. Live music. Good people.
What You'll Do
  • Manage your own caseload with strategy and ownership
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediation, and trial
  • Help families navigate high-stakes, emotional decisions
  • Negotiate when possible, litigate when necessary
  • Apply the Texas Family Code with confidence
  • Be part of a team that works together, not in silos

Requirements
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of contested family law experience
  • Active Texas Bar license
  • Strong communication and courtroom presence

Highly Preferred:
  • Fluent Spanish (spoken and written)
  • Experience handling family law cases in Spanish

Si puedes trabajar directamente con clientes en español, queremos conocerte.
Benefits
Compensation
$170,000 OTE
Higher compensation available for attorneys who are fully bilingual and have experience representing Spanish-speaking clients
Benefits, mentorship, and real career growth included.
About Us
We're a fast-growing, woman-owned firm based in Austin and San Antonio.
We help real people through real-life messes.
We protect kids, finances, and futures.
We take our work seriously-but not ourselves.
Aquí no solo trabajas... creces.
You don't have to stay where you are.
If you're ready to do meaningful work, be part of a strong team, and actually enjoy your career-
we saved you a seat.
