Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician I plays a key role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of building systems and facilities. This position focuses on performing routine maintenance tasks and providing support to senior technicians on more complex repairs and projects. Under supervision, the Maintenance Technician I contributes to basic repairs and maintenance while gaining hands-on experience and developing skills for advanced responsibilities.
Essentail Duties and Responsibilities
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, minor plumbing repairs, and landscaping.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Assist in conducting preventive maintenance tasks, including filter changes, lubrication, and inspections.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency maintenance requests under the supervision of a higher-level technician.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and inventory.
  • Property Maintenance: Assist in maintaining common areas, including cleaning, trash removal, and landscaping.
  • Pool Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the pool and spa, including cleaning, chemical treatments, and basic equipment operation.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
  • Hands on experience or coursework in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting and Drywall is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools, personal protective equipment and OSHA standards.
  • High Rise Property Management or Hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service oriented attitude
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Must be willing to obtain the following certificates: First Aid/CPR, Fire Director Certificate, Weekly Fire Certificate, and OSHA 10.
