Job Overview
The Horticulture Crew Leader is responsible for maintaining a variety of landscape structures that range from typical grassy areas like lawns or gardens to more granular items such as houseplants. This person will also assist with any pruning tasks needed during their shift.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Leading and supervise a small team in performing daily horticultural and landscaping duties, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every job site

  • Assist with the installation and care of woody, perennial, and annual plant material

  • Job duties could include wide array of installation and maintenance responsibilities from mulching, planting, grading, etc.

  • Ensure job sites and/or maintenance properties are kept clean and tidy and free of plant debris

  • Remove weeds and dead plants as needed to preserve the health and natural beauty of the plants

  • Trim overgrown limbs, hedges and leaves to ensure an appealing look to the area

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of proven work experience as a Crew Leader

  • Must be able to operate maintenance equipment including lawnmowers, leaf blowers and hedge trimmers

  • Strong knowledge of pest management and basic lawn maintenance

  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to oversee several projects at a time

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
