A well-established residential property management firm is seeking a seasoned executive leader to oversee the operations of a large-scale portfolio in New York, totaling over 1,100 apartments. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has deep expertise in compliance, legal requirements, property operations, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of residential property operations, ensuring compliance with New York City and State regulations, tax abatements, and legal procedures.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team, including 3 property managers, 8 office staff (management & accounting), and multiple building superintendents.
  • Implement systems and processes (RentManager or alternative platforms) to streamline operations, reduce errors, and enhance automation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of compliance filings, tax abatements, lease documentation, and tenant communications.
  • Monitor and enforce performance standards for both office staff and field personnel.
  • Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting, collections, and expense management.
  • Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures to prevent errors and mitigate risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in property management, real estate operations, or related field.
