Property managers also ensure properties comply with local laws and regulations, and often act as the main point of contact between property owners and tenants.

To thrive as a Property Manager, you need strong knowledge of property law, leasing practices, and financial management, often supported by a degree in business or real estate and relevant certifications. Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi or AppFolio, as well as maintenance tracking systems, is typically required. Outstanding communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills help you build positive tenant relationships and efficiently handle multiple properties.
