How much do property maintenance jobs pay per hour?
What is the difference between Property Maintenance vs Handyman?
| Aspect | Property Maintenance | Handyman |
|---|---|---|
| Certifications | General maintenance certifications, HVAC, plumbing, electrical | Basic repair and installation skills, sometimes specialized certifications |
| Work Environment | Commercial, residential, property management settings | Residential and small-scale commercial projects |
| Employer & Industry Usage | Property management companies, real estate firms, facilities management | Homeowners, small businesses, remodeling services |
Property Maintenance involves managing a wide range of tasks to keep properties in good condition, often requiring multiple skills and certifications. Handymen focus on smaller repairs and installations, typically with less formal certification. While both roles perform repairs, Property Maintenance is more comprehensive and often employed by larger organizations, whereas Handymen serve individual clients for specific tasks.
