Property maintenance is essential for preserving property value, complying with safety regulations, and providing a comfortable environment for occupants.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a property maintenance professional?

To thrive in Property Maintenance, you need strong skills in building repairs, preventative maintenance, and general handyman work, often supported by a high school diploma or technical training. Familiarity with tools such as HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical equipment, and work order management software is typically required. Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and strong communication skills help you address tenant needs efficiently and maintain positive relationships.
