What is a property groundskeeper?

Property Groundskeepers are professionals responsible for maintaining the outdoor areas of residential, commercial, or public properties. Their duties typically include mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting flowers, removing debris, and ensuring that gardens and landscapes remain healthy and attractive. They may also perform minor repairs, operate landscaping equipment, and apply fertilizers or pesticides as needed. Groundskeepers play a vital role in keeping properties safe, clean, and visually appealing.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a property groundskeeper?

To thrive as a Property Groundskeeper, you need knowledge of landscaping techniques, basic horticulture, and experience with grounds maintenance, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with lawn care equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and sometimes pesticide application certifications is typically required.
