What we are looking for:-

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Property Accounting Manager to lead the end-to-end management of our Joint Venture (JV) portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of financial reporting while overseeing a team of Property Accountants. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial review expertise, leadership capabilities, and stakeholder management skills to drive operational excellence and continuous process improvement across the portfolio.

Job responsibilities:
  • Manage the complete Joint Venture (JV) portfolio and ensure timely execution of all month-end accounting activities.
  • Review portfolio performance and ensure financial deliverables are completed accurately and within established timelines.
  • Conduct month-end review meetings with Portfolio Managers to discuss financial performance, key updates, and outstanding action items.
  • Review and validate accounting activities completed by Property Accountants to ensure compliance with client requirements and accounting standards.
  • Review and approve distribution calculations before submission to clients.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and reporting packages.
Operational Excellence & Stakeholder Management
  • Monitor service delivery, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve accounting, reporting, and operational queries.
  • Support client reviews, audits, and ad hoc financial reporting requirements while maintaining high-quality service standards.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Property Accountants through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, client-specific procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:

Postgraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory

8–10 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or property accounting

Prior experience in Joint Venture (JV) accounting is highly preferred

Experience with Microsoft GP and Microsoft 365 ERP systems is preferred

Strong experience reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and accounting deliverables

Proven experience leading teams and managing client relationships

You must have:

Willingness to work in EST/PST - US Timezone shifts

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical, financial review and problem-solving abilities

Exceptional stakeholder management and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines

High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
