Our part-time, paid internship program provides hands-on experience in a dynamic, innovative environment within the entertainment industry. Interns can work up to 29 hours per week with a flexible schedule to accommodate academic commitments. Participants will engage in real projects, gaining practical industry insights while developing professional skills through workshops and career-building sessions. The program also features guest speaker events with industry experts, networking opportunities with professionals and fellow interns, and exclusive perks such as company outings, team-building activities, and access to film and media screenings.
Summary
Legendary Entertainment is seeking an intern for its Accounting department. This individual will report directly to the SVP of Corporate Accounting and work together with the Finance team. In addition, the intern will work closely with the executives and members of the team.
Responsibilities
  • Compile and analyze financial information and prepare well-documented journal entries for approval by the Accounting team.
  • Record journal entries for the Accounting team.
  • Prepare schedules to facilitate the close.
  • Track royalty reports received and generate invoices.
  • Interact with other divisions/departments in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements
  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (Spring/Summer) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months
  • A GPA of 3.5 or above is highly preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Undergraduate accounting major, preferred
  • High level of oral/written communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong organization, time management, and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and recommend effective solutions
  • Some knowledge or willingness to learn reporting standards and research accounting issues
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
