Location: Annapolis, MD Work Environment: In Person Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year Position Summary We are seeking a Property Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of commercial and/or residential properties. This role is responsible for month-end close, financial reporting, cash management, accounts payable, lease administration, budgeting, and investor reporting. Experience with Yardi is preferred. Responsibilities Perform month-end close, maintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and analyze financial statement variances. Complete bank reconciliations, process wire transfers, and support cash management activities. Review and process accounts payable, ensuring invoices, taxes, and insurance payments are accurate and timely. Calculate management fees and ensure transactions are properly reflected in the financial statements. Enter leases into Yardi, manage tenant billing, reconcile expenses, and support accounts receivable. Prepare supporting schedules for investor distributions and capital calls. Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting. Collaborate with property management, asset management, and development teams. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience as a Property Accountant, Real Estate Accountant, or Staff Accountant. Experience with Yardi preferred.
