Job description

Are you currently enrolled as an active student in a master's level graduate program and enrolled in a clinical internship course through your academic institution?  If you are seeking a clinical practicum/internship or field placement for 2026-2027? InnerSourced Solutions may be a perfect internship site for graduate level students seeking a masters degree in social work, professional counseling, or psychology with an interest in mental health. Applicants in a graduate Professional Counseling Program are welcome required complete both their Practicum AND Internship. 

We are committed to training students through meaningful learning experiences. This internship is on-site in an elementary school setting; telehealth is available for family sessions as needed. Applicants must be prepared to provide face-to-face individual, group, and family sessions at the school, office, or home when requested by the client or parent.

We have opening for an On-Site, School Based Intern providing mental health services to elementary students.  Graduate students will provide individual and family psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, or children, in the school, home, or office, as determined by the needs and/or desires of the client and/or legal guardian.  Applicants must commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week, regardless of graduate program requirements, all completed on-site within school hours of 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including time for administrative tasks. Applicants must also be available for clinical and administrative supervision, meetings, and projects during traditional business hours.


Compensation & Stipend Details:

This is an unpaid academic internship required for graduation. However, to support our students with living and commuting expenses, we provide a $500.00 monthly educational stipend. Please note our transparent structure for this stipend:

  • Training & Onboarding: The initial 2-week training, EHR orientation, and compliance onboarding period is focused entirely on learning agency systems and is unpaid.
  • Stipend Timeline: Monthly stipend distributions of $500.00 begin processing the first full month after onboarding is completed and direct client services commence.

     • Clinical Supervision: Weekly, individual/group board-approved clinical supervision is provided entirely by the agency at no cost to the student.


 Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited graduate level behavioral health program
  • Must have completed Psychopathology, as well course work related to Clinical Diagnoses and Treatment Planning
  • Must be willing to submit to and pass a Criminal background and Child Protective background check
  • Must obtain and provide proof of student malpractice insurance
  • Ability to obtain or show proof of current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Must commit to a minimum of 2 evening appointments per week (can be via telehealth)
