The Promontory Club is looking to fulfill a vacancy for a Food and Beverage Fine Dining Bartender.

If your passion is to serve signature and classic cocktails in a relaxed sophisticated interior complemented by majestic mountain vistas and stunning golf course views then we might be the right place for you! The Hearth Grill is a relaxed Fine Dining Steakhouse offering an elevated beef and seafood menu where an 800 bottle wine wall welcomes Promontory Members to the warm, inviting atmosphere of a fine dining steakhouse. We also deliver exceptional service through several events planned for Members and their guests throughout the year. 

We are looking to competitively compensate experienced bartenders who have a proven record of excellent service, attention to detail, maintenance of portion control and are able to complete all activities to keep us compliant with UDABC legal standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet the Members in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of fine wines preferred.
  • Through knowledge of traditional cocktail recipes and mixology techniques.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and professional bar.
  • Knowledge of modern cuisines is preferred.
  • Completion of assigned opening and closing side work.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, be punctual and well groomed. Uniforms are provided.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work practices to management; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Other duties as assigned or as required to ensure that the Members have a positive and above satisfactory dining experience.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, must have or be able to acquire a State of Utah food handler's certification within two weeks of employment. Must have a valid alcohol server training certification recognized by the Utah Department of Alcohol and Beverage Control (UDABC). Must be at least 21 years of age.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1 – 2 years of previous bartending experience required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Wages start at $17.00/hr - $19.00/hr  + tips and will be commensurate with experience upon employment.
