POSITION SUMMARY

The Material Handler is responsible for reviewing schedules, communicating with molding supervisor, leads, and operators to determine material requirements, then preparing material for molding. The position operates under the supervision of the lead or manager. The Material Handler ensures ProMed’s brand, philosophy, systems, policies, and procedures are properly implemented and observed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Review production schedules and meet with supervisor/team leads/operators to determine daily and weekly material requirements.

• Prepare material for molding, following established procedures

• Monitor material usage for all presses, determine when additional material is required to complete job orders. Prepare additional material, when necessary.

• Record all material allocation on the work order and complete material issuing transactions in the ERP system

• Perform batch record review, according to established procedures

• Responsible for the receipt and testing of all incoming materials/components as required

• Identifies and implements a comprehensive education plan to continually advance technical skills and personal development as well as enhancing organizational effectiveness.

• Participates in project planning.

• Establishes and cultivates a network of support (laboratory, quality, manufacturing, engineering, sales, and marketing) to facilitate completion of assignments.

• Develop acceptable work habits, skills, knowledge, and contributions consistent with the Material Handler position level.

• Able to lift 40+ pounds, frequently, during the shift

• This job also requires performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required:

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma

• Basic math skills

• Professional, courteous, and friendly disposition

• Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other similar computer software

• Working knowledge of English (verbal and written)

• Clearly conveys ideas and receives information effectively

Preferred:

• Medical/clean-room knowledge/experience

• Knowledge/training to ISO 13485 (Current) Standards

• Injection molding and/or manufacturing experience in the medical industry
