Job description

Pro Med Healthcare Services is currently seeking RN's, LPN's for Per Diem/PRN opportunities for Hospice in Orange County to provide health care services in accordance with prescribed medical treatment and agency policy in the home according to the patient’s plan of care.

  • Provide high quality, patient-centered care in the home setting.
  • Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
  • Provide nursing services in compliance with agency policy and procedure, state and federal regulations, and the patient’s plan of care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Observe patients and report adverse reactions to medication or treatment to the Clinical Coordinator.
  • Assist the Physician and/or Registered Nurse in carrying out the plan of care and in performing specialized procedures.
  • -Perform patient and family instruction on diet, medication, and treatment.

Requirements

Hospice Nurse requirements

  • Previous working experience for at least 1 year in Post Acute, Acute Care and Home Health
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing care operations and administering medication
  • Familiarity with safety regulations
  • Keen observation skills
  • High ethical standards

  • Compassionate nature and excellent communication
  • Formal nurse training certification
  • Current CPR certificate
