Where: Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Chattanooga, TN; or Raleigh, NC offices.

Job Description:
The Project Accountant supports financial management of projects, including setup, billing, revenue recognition, reporting, and project closeout activities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to oversee project financials, billing, and invoicing.
  • Support project setup and ensure accuracy of all project-related data.
  • Configure complex projects within Acumatica and maintain detailed records.
  • Provide timely updates on project budgets, expenses, and revenue.
  • Ensure proper allocation of project time and resources.
  • Manage project contracts and verify compliance with terms.
  • Perform financial analysis to support proposal pricing and decision-making.
  • Conduct project cleanup and closeout activities, reconciling budgets, unbilled revenue, and task allocations.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Business, Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the AEC industry.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and project accounting practices.
  • Proficiency with Excel (intermediate required, advanced preferred).
  • Experience with project accounting software (Acumatica, Oracle, Deltek, Textura).
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.
  • Experience with general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
