Job Objective: Takes a leadership role in project planning and execution of small-medium sized projects. Responsibilities include managing resources, budgets, and fostering effective communication within the team. You will analyze project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and provide comprehensive project reports. This role suits experienced project managers seeking increased responsibilities and challenges.

Job Description:

Education: Required: Bachelor's degree or an additional four (4) years of applicable experience in lieu of bachelorโ€™s degree Preferred: Master's degree

Licensure/Certification: Required: Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification Preferred: N/A

Experience: Required: Five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager leading small-medium sized projects or nine (9) years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree Preferred: Experience leading small-medium sized Healthcare IT projects

Reports To: Manager-Program Management Office and Help Desk Supervises: N/A Ages of Patients: N/A Blood Borne Pathogens: Minimal/ No Potential

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision, Adaptable to the needs of the project team and can provide support where needed across a broad range of activities, Advanced computer skills and in-depth knowledge of different operating systems and service desk administration, Advanced understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall methodologies, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to handle issues that may occur during project completion, Excellent multitasking skills and detail-oriented , Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget, Process improvement mindset and makes recommendations to daily workflows to improve efficiency, Proficient in EMC IS project management software, Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and supporting the project team, Strong written and interpersonal skills to communicate with team members and management, as well as the ability to explain technical and/or software issues, Top notch resource planning and task scheduling skills

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
  2. Plans, organizes, and directs operations related to small-medium sized IT business projects.
  3. Sets project goals for small-medium sized projects and develops plans to meet those goals.
  4. Develops and maintains project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports for small-medium sized projects.
  5. Manages resources for small-medium sized projects, such as computer equipment and employees.
  6. Coordinates project team members, builds schedules, and develops individual responsibilities for small-medium sized projects.
  7. Implements IT strategies that deliver small-medium sized projects on schedule and within budget.
  8. Develops enhancements to the EMC IS project management tool used to track project performance and schedule adherence.
  9. Organizes project meetings to discuss project goals and progress.
  10. Conducts risk assessments for small-medium sized projects.
  11. Develops new policies and procedures for the project management office working structure.
  12. Builds resource capacity and portfolio activity reports for the IS Business Project Portfolio.
  13. Ensures the project data reports follow Information Systems standard project management methodology.
  14. Mentors Project Manager-IT I(s).
  15. Supports Project Manager-IT III(s) on large enterprise projects.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
