Project Management Support Consultant
West Sacramento, CA

Mandatory Qualifications:
(1) At least five (5) years of Project Management experience, including but not limited to initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and/or closing processes on projects with a budget over $10 million, with at least four (4) years of that experience in a lead capacity.
(2) At least three (3) years of experience leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and/or assisting with the delivery, coordination, and support of business testers with UAT.
(3) At least three (3) years of experience leading matrixed teams with at least 15 resources consisting of both internal and vendor/contract staff.
(4) At least three (3) years of experience using and working with software test tool.
(5) At least three (3) years of experience using Microsoft Project. Verifiable, formal instructor-led Microsoft Project training class of at least 24 classroom hours can be used to substitute up to one (1) year of this required experience. If using training to satisfy a portion of this qualification, provide a certificate of completion along with a copy of the class syllabus.
(6) At least three (3) years of experience working on a technology software/application project that included infrastructure, network, and hardware/software components, and followed a formal system development life cycle.
(7) At least three (3) years of experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, Visio, and other analytical tools.
(8) At least three (3) years of experience facilitating a formal issue and risk management process.
(9) At least three (3) years of experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and business units/teams.
(10) Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate or an equivalent project management certificate that requires at least 60 months of project management experience as a pre-requisite for certification.
(11) Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in a science, technology, engineering, math, or business major as evidenced by a copy of the diploma.
Desirable Qualifications:
Five (5) or more years of project management experience managing complex IT systems and integration projects.
Participation in managing complex IT systems and integration projects over the last ten (10) years of similar scope as outlined in the Statement of Work.
Knowledge of the business functions performed by pension organizations similar to Client, including but not limited to:
o Pension Administration
o Financial/Accounting
o Public Retirement Benefits
o Information Technology
Familiarity with the Sagitec solution known as Neospin and previous experience working on a Neospin implementation.
Experience with pension industry commercial off the shelf (COTS) products required for transformation project success, with preference for knowledge with the Neospin framework.
Experience in the creation of communication management plans and skilled at developing communication messages targeted to particular stakeholder groups.
Coordination with stakeholders of other state and local government agencies.
Experience with leading one or more of the following project activities:
o Interfaces and Bridges
o Conversion
o User Acceptance Testing
o Project Management Office management
