What are some common challenges faced by project managers in a shipyard environment?

Project managers in a shipyard often face challenges such as coordinating large, multidisciplinary teams, managing tight deadlines, and ensuring strict compliance with safety and environmental regulations. What is a project shipyard?

A project shipyard is a specialized facility where ships are constructed, repaired, or maintained as part of large-scale projects. These shipyards are equipped with dry docks, cranes, fabrication shops, and skilled workers such as engineers, welders, and electricians. Project shipyards often handle complex builds or renovations, including commercial vessels, naval ships, or offshore platforms. They play a crucial role in the maritime industry by ensuring vessels are built to specification, on schedule, and in compliance with safety standards.
