About the Position
The Planning & Scheduling Manager will provide strategic leadership for planning and scheduling activities across multiple construction projects and complex programs. This role combines advanced scheduling expertise with leadership, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to support successful project delivery from preconstruction through completion.
Working closely with executive leadership, operations, project management, business development, and field teams, this individual will develop scheduling strategies, identify project risks, mentor scheduling professionals, and implement best practices that improve project performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead planning and scheduling efforts across multiple projects and large-scale construction programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project schedules while ensuring consistency with company standards and project objectives.
  • Identify scheduling risks and develop proactive mitigation and recovery strategies.
  • Partner with project teams to improve schedule performance and maintain critical project milestones.
  • Coordinate planning activities with operations, engineering, project management, and field leadership.
  • Mentor and develop scheduling professionals while promoting consistent scheduling methodologies and best practices.
  • Support company-wide training initiatives related to planning, scheduling, and project controls.
  • Collaborate with business development and preconstruction teams by developing pursuit schedules and evaluating project risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on scheduling processes, technology, and operational efficiency.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, project stakeholders, and internal leadership to support successful project execution.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of construction experience, including significant responsibility for planning and scheduling functions.
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager, Superintendent, Scheduler, or Project Controls professional is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of:
    • Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling
    • Construction sequencing and logistics
    • Project planning and resource management
    • 4D scheduling and visual planning methodologies
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, procurement processes, contracts, and project delivery methods.
  • Experience identifying scheduling risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of schedule documentation, claims avoidance, and project controls best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven success working within collaborative, multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Willingness to travel as project assignments require.
