Construction Safety Manager

Location: Avondale, AZ

Duration: 2 Months (Start: 8/10)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $56/hr

Per Diem: None

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM | Approximately 50 Hours Per Week

The Construction Safety Manager will partner closely with electricians, field supervision, and project leadership to oversee electrical installations, material handling, elevated work, and daily construction operations while maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification
  • 5+ years of construction safety experience
  • Experience supporting electrical contractors
  • Experience conducting field inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring
  • Strong understanding of OSHA construction safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data center construction experience
  • NFPA 70E knowledge or experience
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience
  • Electrical commissioning or energization experience
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
What You'll Be Doing
  • Oversee daily safety activities for electrical construction operations
  • Maintain a strong field presence alongside electricians and project supervision
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and risk assessments
  • Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
  • Support electrical installation, conduit, cable, equipment, and infrastructure activities
  • Monitor temporary power and electrical safety practices
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance records
  • Partner with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
  • Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project
