Job description

We are seeking a candidate for a key role leading schedule operations for an AI enabling infrastructure campus of unprecedented scale (potentially greater than 2GW) and of strategic importance to Meta. The Schedule lead role will not only be a technical Schedule subject matter expert overseeing schedule deliverables on the project and across multiple General Contractors, but also oversee a team of schedulers representing Meta that will maintain the project integrated master schedule, manage schedule reporting accuracy and quality. This candidate will be a critical partner for the Construction Management team and Project Controls lead to forecast and help mitigate schedule related risks and issues on the project, enable commercial accountability, manage schedule health reporting/escalation and ensure that change, specifically schedule change management is effective and expedient. Leadership, communication, and organization skills are critical in this highly collaborative, analytical, and strategic role. This position will work closely within the DEC Business Controls team and various internal departments including Site Project Management teams, Pre-Construction, Contracts, Finance, Accounting, Sourcing and Operations Engineering.
Area Schedule Lead, Project Hyperion Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule, ensuring the seamless integration of all General Contractor schedules via critical interface milestones. This includes managing a holistic project schedule and holding each General Contractor accountable for their means and methods, coordination, and the quality of their contractual schedules. This function is pivotal in ensuring comprehensive management of project risk and schedule, thereby guaranteeing the utmost accuracy in internal business reporting
  • Serve as the technical lead for Schedule Controls across the campus, encompassing baseline schedule reviews, schedule updates and reporting, schedule change management/Extension of Time (EOT) approval, delay tracking, schedule metric/quality assurance, schedule delay mitigation, and risk facilitation/mitigation
  • Assume responsibility for the application of commercial entitlement pertaining to schedule changes and Extension of Time (EOT) on the project. Provide leadership to site teams, Project Controls Analysts, and Scheduler consultants regarding Delay Tracking, Extension of Time (EOT) requests, and claims
  • Contribute to the formulation of delay mitigation strategies and collaborate directly with Site Leadership to provide recommendations and mitigate impacts, striving for equitable resolution while maintaining the project schedule
  • Be responsible for the review and approval of all General Contractors' preconstruction Baseline Schedules. In conjunction with the Meta PreConstruction Managers, ensure that baseline schedules conform to program expectations and are delivered within the agreed-upon project timeline
  • Analyze and communicate schedule health and risk in collaboration with the onsite Project Controls Lead and Construction Management Leadership, and provide necessary escalation
  • Identify proactive project commercial risks in collaboration with other Project Leads, the Delivery team, and cross-functional (XFN) partners, and support programmatic schedule delay review and mitigation activities
  • Provide support to Site Schedulers on the project and manage vendor performance
  • Support accurate, cadenced reporting and communication to site and cross-functional teams
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive programmatic efficiencies and opportunities for the project and the program, ensuring continued alignment with other Schedule Leads

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in project scheduling for large-scale, complex capital projects
  • Proven expertise in integrated master schedule management, schedule controls, and risk mitigation
  • Experience with commercial entitlement & schedule change management
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6) and analytics/reporting platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • 10+ years of direct experience in schedule leadership for mega-projects (>1GW or $1B+)
  • Experience managing schedule operations across multiple General Contractors and vendors
  • Track record of driving schedule health, risk mitigation, and commercial accountability in a global organization
  • Experience with AI-enabled scheduling, automation, or advanced analytics
  • Experience within mission-critical infrastructure or technology programs
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
