Description:

Bognet Construction is seeking a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager with at least 5 years of commercial building experience. The Project Manager will have overall construction responsibilities for a multifamily projects in surrounding VA,DC,MD area valued up to $40M. The Senior PM will have a strong track record of completing Multifamily projects ensuring their successful delivery within schedule and budget along with the ability to manage vendors, subcontractors, and field staff throughout the project duration.

  • Construct a project schedule from start to finish by identifying long lead and specialty materials within the critical path of the project.
  • Review drawings, identify scope, and develop the sequence of construction.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of the status of every project.
  • Work with the Estimator to develop bids and participate in project interviews
  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients, subcontractors and related vendors.
  • Completes materials โ€œtake-offsโ€, establishes scope of works, develops and tracks material procurement schedule
  • Confers with project staff to outline work plans, assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority; coordinates activities with project staff to ensure project progress within prescribed budget and provides technical advice to resolve problems
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
  • Review subcontractor/vendor proposals, compare proposals, and award projects to the most qualified subcontractors.
  • Manage the project budget and overall profit margins. Revises monthly projects โ€“ WIP, and collects money.
  • Prepare for and run weekly progress meeting - identifying important discussion topics and assigning tasks to effectively manage the project.
  • Attend industry, social and non-profit events to build relationships and identify new opportunities
  • Proactively build and sustain relationships with clients
  • Promote safety and ensure that the project adheres to our safety requirements.
  • Work with the on-site Superintendent to deliver the highest possible quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Successfully complete projects to maximize profit and client satisfaction.
  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and other associates while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations
Requirements:

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five (5) to Ten (10) years of experience
  • Mastery of reading blueprint drawings/specifications
  • Previous Experience in a Project Management role with the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated business acumen with strong presentation skills
  • Possess a 4 Year Degree from an accredited university within the Engineering, Construction Management or Business concentration.
  • Ability to maintain composure, professionalism, and objectivity in difficult situations and effectively resolve conflicts
  • Collaborate and foster relationships with a customer service-oriented attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and Adobe
