*** This position is for a full time traveling assignment supporting an Advanced Technology project, which includes our Data Center, Pharmaceutical, Industrial/Manufacturing, and EV/Battery/Renewables market segment groups (MSG).  ***

Position Description:Lead, manage, and coordinate all phases of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) work on one or more construction projects of significant complexity and scale from preconstruction through to closeout. Oversee project team, risk, and operations to ensure success.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop operational plans for coordinating and implementing all phases of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) work for one or concurrent construction projects of significant complexity and scale from preconstruction through closeout./li>
  • Lead multiple MEP disciplines through preconstruction process and facilitate project launch and to convey strategic MEP system design and operations considerations./li>
  • Partner, champion, support and validate opportunities to collaborate with other Turner entities and resources to optimize project operations and increase service offerings and capabilities./li>
  • Facilitate effective communication, collaboration, and alignment of project teams to support project goals and priorities./li>
  • Engage with project team regularly on project site to maintain continuity with project activities throughout all phases, set expectations and clearly define roles and responsibilities, serve as resource to help resolve project matters, and guide teams to implement company initiatives and adopt technologies./li>
  • Guide project teams and stakeholders to adopt Turner business ethics and compliance programs./li>
  • Know and understand project contract obligations (e.g., notice provisions, right to stop work) and manage expectations and uphold obligations with project team and stakeholders throughout life of project. Provide leadership for risk evaluations, contract negotiations, fees and pricing decisions./li>
  • Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients, design community, Trades/subcontractors, and organizations to enhance future business development opportunities./li>
  • Provide leadership to develop high performing teams, foster supportive environment of diversity and inclusion, and promote Active Caring philosophy with teams, Trades/subcontractors, and clients for all to demonstrate highest standards of care for each other./li>
  • Serve as subject matter expert to guide and support development of specialty MEP construction expertise and knowledge across projects. Follow employee developmental progress throughout project assignments to promote training and education to enhance career development./li>
  • Provide overall MEP team leadership, supervise managers across disciplines, deliver timely performance feedback for direct reports, contribute to performance appraisals during annual performance cycle, utilize talent management systems, and identify appropriate training to help with development needs./li>
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers and/or Construction Executive to manage workforce planning for staff capacity in support of specific project demands, and review plans with project, Resource Officer, and Human Resources (HR) leaderships teams./li>
  • Oversee Turner's most current standard practices for operational excellence are in place and hold entire MEP team accountable to adopt and adhere to standards; this includes, but is not limited to: Safety, Project Launch, Production Control System, Scheduling, Engineering, Commissioning, and Quality./li>
  • Oversee development of master project schedule for MEP components and manage its implementation/li>
  • Develop, with Construction Executive, Master Production Plan schedule and oversee detailed production planning with Turner staff and subcontractors in accordance with schedule.
