Job description

Main Tasks
Project Quality Leadership
  • Act as the main quality contact for customers throughout the APQP process.
  • Provide clear visibility of project quality status to the project team, Steering Committee, and Quality Organization.
  • Lead escalation processes when quality targets are not met.
  • Ensure customer-specific and internal quality requirements are fully integrated into all APQP activities.
  • Serve as the APQP tools expert and coach for the project team.
  • Hold authority to stop production or deliveries in cases of serious non-conformance.

APQP & Validation
  • Support development of Design and Process FMEAs with quality-related input.
  • Review and align customer and internal drawings with Engineering and Metrology to confirm dimensions, specifications, and control methods.
  • Support development and execution of design and production validation plans.
  • Participate in root cause analysis when validation results deviate from expectations.
  • Define and implement gauges, fixtures, and measurement methods for prototype through serial production.
  • Ensure proper execution and documentation of all dimensional measurements across all project phases.
  • Validate conformity of parts (A/B/C samples) and manage sample documentation, shipment approvals, and deviation permits when needed.

Customer & Supplier Interface
  • Work with R&D and customers to define functional requalification testing requirements.
  • Define requalification in the control plan based on customer, internal, and cost requirements.
  • Act as the internal quality link to Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) regarding customer requirements and supplier PPAP expectations.

Qualification
  • University degree (bachelor or master) in engineering
  • Technician with job experience in quality engineering
  • English language skills (fluent), Local standard language at site

Skills
  • Quality engineering (APQP procedures, 8D systematic, control plan, capability analysis, MSA, SPC, FMEA, Poka Yoke, ...).
  • IATF 16949 requirements, VDA or AIAG
  • Understanding of specifications on technical drawings
  • Problem solving techniques (for example PDCA, Six Sigma, RPS, ...)
  • Software skills (MS office, Q-DAS, IQ-FMEA, SAP, ...)
  • Knowledge of customer PPAP procedures and customer requirements

Experience preferred
  • Automotive Industry
  • Practical mass production experience
  • Relevant process experience (plastic injection, plastic welding, assembly, end of line test)
