About this Role

General Description

The Field Quality Lead I will be responsible for assisting in project-related quality management activities, including executing the requirements of a project-specific Quality Management Plan (QMP). This position will work in close cooperation with the project Quality and Construction management team to monitor and oversee project quality activities and deliverables.

What You'll Do

Duties

  • Monitor the QC inspections and activities during the construction phase of a project.
  • Participate in systematic and independent reviews of QC documentation.
  • Assist in identifying and documenting issues that may cause, or contribute to, deviations from planned/expected outcomes and assist in developing corrective action plans to address issues.
  • Review Quanta operating units or subcontractor procedures and quality records to verify compliance.
  • Assist in compiling and providing internal and external metric reporting on quality objectives.
  • Performs any other duties assigned.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
What You'll Bring

Required Experience and Education

  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a quality assurance or quality control related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in power delivery, civil or industrial construction.
  • Basic understanding of quality inspections/audits and quality programs.
  • Basic experience in surveillance oversight programs.
  • Basic knowledge related to quality assurance processes.
  • Understanding of equipment and material specifications and testing requirements.
  • Basic understanding of scheduling.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft suite packages and document management software.
  • 10-hour OSHA certification.

Preferred Experience and Education

  • Two years of experience in a quality assurance / control role on an EPC project.
  • Associates degree in Construction Science or Construction Management.
  • Experience with Procore and its full suite of tools.

Skills

  • Exposure to related design, construction or procurement requirements.
  • Construction techniques, testing, standards of compliance experience.
  • Familiar with equipment and material specifications and testing requirements at manufacturer facilities.
  • Organizational and planning skills.
  • Interpersonal and team-work skills.
