Job description

Job Title:         Quality Engineer
Client:              Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration:         24 Months (Possibility of Extension/Conversion)
Location:         Horicon, WI 53032
Shift:                1st Shift

Role Overview

Perform quality engineering assignments supporting supplier quality, manufacturing processes, and product development under guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support analysis of manufacturing processes, materials, and systems
  • Assist in feasibility testing and validation of engineering solutions
  • Support development of engineering standards and specifications
  • Perform quality inspections and recommend corrective actions
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors as a point of contact
  • Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in product development and engineering activities
  • Analyze customer needs and support product delivery
  • Work within project plans to meet defined goals
  • Maintain knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and technologies

Supplier Quality & Core Activities

  • Lead quality planning activities for assigned commodities
  • Participate in cross-functional teams for quality initiatives
    (FMEA, control plans, design reviews, supplier audits, risk assessments)
  • Support resolution of supplier quality issues
  • Drive corrective actions using 8D methodology
  • Manage RGA, SCR, and supplier improvement processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, or supply management
  • Experience with quality tools:
    FMEA, NCCA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical techniques
  • Ability to read drawings, schematics, and GD&T
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and set priorities
