Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Manager is a leader of a construction project, responsible for the oversight of all construction efforts at a large project site. This position operates under limited supervision and general direction, independently applying advanced techniques to complex assignments. The Project Manager is viewed as a fully competent, experienced professional capable of executing the full range of day-to-day construction project management and acquisition support tasks required under the contract.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide oversight of construction-related activities across assigned contracts.
  • Support the COR by performing all project management tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide day-to-day project management for construction and service projects, including customer coordination, schedule review, and design review.
  • Develop solutions to construction problems and unforeseen existing conditions encountered in the field.
  • Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract requirements.
  • Aid the CO and COR throughout acquisition phases, including responding to offerors' questions, attending site orientation visits, and participating in joint contractor/government meetings.
  • Draft technical responses to change orders.
  • Prepare Statements of Work (SOW) and independent government cost estimates for new contracts and contract modifications.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management work experience on commercial or Government construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing construction efforts at large project sites.
  • Proven ability to work independently under limited supervision, applying advanced techniques to complex assignments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other recognized project management certification strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting federal Government construction contracts.

Familiarity with USSS, DHS, or other federal agency facility operations and security
SECURITY & SUITABILITY REQUIREMENTS
All personnel proposed under this contract must meet the following requirements prior to commencing work:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a PIV card for the life of the contract.
