We are looking for an HR Governance & Quality Manager to support Audit & Assurance HR with meeting its responsibilities under the Firm's System of Quality Management (SoQM). Working closely with HR leaders, the HR SoQM Office, and the Firm SoQM Quality Team, you'll help improve business processes, strengthen quality management practices, and develop practical tools and guidance that help HR teams meet their quality management responsibilities.

This is an opportunity for someone with experience in audit, governance, internal controls, or quality management who enjoys improving the way organizations work. You'll use your technical knowledge in a collaborative role where you'll help turn quality management requirements into practical processes, tools, and guidance that support HR's day-to-day work.


What you will do
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor Audit HR's annual quality management activities and workplan.
  • Work with HR leaders, the HR SoQM office and the design & implementation team in recurring activities such as process narrative reviews, documentation updates, and control operation planning.
  • Support risk assessment and scoping as part of control design and implementation to ensure controls are focused on the right quality risks and business processes.
  • Through cross-functional collaboration, contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal processes, control design, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the HR SoQM office to develop practical guidance, learning resources, and tools that help HR stakeholders understand and carry out their quality management responsibilities.
  • Support recurring governance, reporting, and operational activities that enable Audit HR's quality management program, including the SoQM KPI program, quarterly exit interview reporting and GPS Action Plan updates.
  • Monitor and track the implementation of recommendations, ensuring timely and appropriate remediation actions are taken.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate and improve quality management practices.

What you bring to the role
  • CPA, CIA, CRMA, CISA, or a similar professional designation, with relevant experience.
  • Experience in audit, governance, internal controls, quality management, compliance, or process improvement, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Experience reviewing, documenting, or improving business processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a practical and straightforward way.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across teams and influence outcomes without formal authority.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI is a strong asset.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in English at a business level is required

This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support and collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders while at KPMG. The expected base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $111,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards.
