Position Summary

The project manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects by defining milestones, managing resources, mitigating risks, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring quality and budget adherence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Define or document existing project scope, goals, and deliverables, and create a detailed project plan outlining timelines, resources, and milestones.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues, and proactively implement mitigation plans.
  • Budget Management: Track project expenses against the budget, ensuring that the project stays within financial constraints and reporting variances as needed.
  • Change Management: Manage commercial and contractual change processes, including identification, documentation, negotiation, and implementation of changes to scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders (internal and external), providing updates on progress, approved changes, risks, and any issues that arise.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with customers to provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain project documentation, including plans, reports, meeting notes, risk registers, change logs, and lessons learned for future reference.

Required Education and Training

  • Engineering Degree
  • Project management experience, PMP an asset
  • Electrical Engineering degree considered an asset
  • Extreme attention to detail
