Job description

Position Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will report to the Senior Project Manager and play a critical role in leading the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects from initiation through completion. Working collaboratively with Engineering, Design, Production, Resource Management, clients, vendors, and other cross-functional teams, you will oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and risk ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to TechMDInc quality standards. As the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, you will foster strong relationships through proactive communication, effective problem-solving, and exceptional customer service while providing leadership to project teams, driving accountability, and ensuring alignment with project objectives and company priorities. Success in this role requires strong organizational, financial, and leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Occasional travel may be required for project sites, client meetings, vendor visits, installations, and industry events.

Primary Responsibilities: Project Planning & Delivery
  • Manage the planning, execution, and closing of multiple projects within the organization
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Create and curate project documentation, including schedules, scopes of work, requirements, risk management plans, and status reports
  • Visit project site for installation as representative of project success, driving client satisfaction and project management goals
Monitoring & Risk Management
  • Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to keep projects on track
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes; develop contingency plans where necessary
  • Assess changes to scope and work with clients to issue change orders
  • Review contracts, proposals and quotes and identify areas of concern for each project
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Work closely with various teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Own client communication as a continuous point of contact throughout the project and build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and manage expectations through project completion
Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead meetings driving project information exchange and actionable task creation
  • Manage project team members, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing feedback
  • Continuously identify opportunities for project leadership and process improvement

Core Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5+ years in a Project Manager role, preferably within the themed entertainment industry
  • Proven ability to manage complex technical projects from conception to completion in a fast-paced environment
  • Expertise in project management tools (Wrike preferred) and proficiency with MS Office, G-Suite, and databases (QuickBase preferred)
  • Ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for clear stakeholder engagement
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams and fostering collaboration
  • Ability to diagnose workflow issues quickly and anticipate potential challenges
  • Skilled at managing competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business administration or a related field
  • Advanced understanding of audio, video, lighting and control systems functionality
  • Previous experience in themed entertainment or A/V for construction projects
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent experience
  • Lifting Capability: Ability to lift equipment weighing 25โ€“50 lbs. to a height of 3โ€“4 feet and load into trucks
