SUMMARY
The Procurement Manager will own procurement, contracting and documentation responsibility for Less-than-Truckload (LTL) transportation, Truckload (TL) transportation, Flatbed (FB) transportation and Small Package Parcel (SMP) within the DSV Lead Logistics group. The Procurement Manager will have an extensive background in road transportation pricing, procurement, compliance, and proactive management of carriers. This position is expected to use industry insight and knowledge to design, develop and source low-cost carrier solutions that meet, and exceed our clients' business needs. The Procurement Manager will act as the primary liaison between the company and transportation providers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leads in the development and execution of negotiation strategies within the business group; including specific targets for pricing, service, quality, performance, and compliance.
  • Develops subject matter expertise in road transportation through external research, benchmarking and analyzing cost drivers.
  • Provides market intelligence and price trends.
  • Develops deep, forward-facing understanding where Company risks and opportunities exist.
  • Provides rigorous analysis of spend data, market trends and dynamics to prioritize and launch sourcing initiatives.
  • Supports, develops, and maintains DSV Lead Logistics strategy goals and initiatives through Carrier Procurement and Compliance.
  • Maintains carrier database and document inventory including carrier profiles, contract documents and rates.
  • Maintains and administers carrier compliance policies.
  • Provides support to management, Carrier Services, Carrier Services Analysts and Account Managers in planning that promotes business growth, cost savings, and provides deeper customer relationships.
  • Monitors and updates DSV Lead Logistics units and clients on key regulatory, judicial and industry issues and decisions that affect the transportation industry.
  • Supports the execution of client-focused, and DSV Lead Logistics enterprise-wide transportation RFPs.
  • Supports projects that involve analyzing all, or part, of the supply chain network for current and potential client needs.
  • Provides support during the implementation of any new DSV Lead Logistics account(s)
  • Supports sales team on new sales opportunities, and quantifying value for supply chain solutions.
  • Ability to present Company presentations and projects to C-level Executives.
  • Reviews, updates and maintains standard operating procedures (SOP's).
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
  • College degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, related field or experience in lieu of education.
  • 5 years' experience in a Logistics Manager, Logistics Procurement, Engineer, Brokerage Manager or related role.

Language Skills
  • English fluency (reading, writing, verbal).

Computer Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Mathematical Skills
  • Advanced analytical and mathematics skills.

Other Skills
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $84000 - $125500 / Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
