Acts as the owner-representative Project Planner / Scheduler for capital projects, responsible for the development, integrity, and predictability of the project schedule across all phases of execution.
The Planner / Scheduler understands cost, estimating, and earned value concepts, but is wholly focused on schedule development, logic quality, progress measurement, forecasting, and critical-path protection. This role ensures the project leadership team has a credible, integrated, and decision-ready schedule that reflects real execution conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phases.
  • Create and manage schedule logic, constraints, milestones, and interface relationships.
  • Integrate contractor, EPC, EPCM, long-lead procurement, and execution package schedules into a master project schedule.
  • Maintain schedule quality through validation of logic, float paths, durations, constraints, and schedule integrity.
  • Manage schedule baselines and ensure traceability of approved scope and schedule changes.
  • Identify and monitor critical and near-critical paths, providing schedule forecasts and impact assessments.
  • Perform schedule recovery, mitigation, and what-if analyses to support project decision-making.
  • Establish and oversee progress measurement processes, validating progress updates and schedule accuracy.
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and contractor teams to ensure schedule alignment.
  • Prepare schedule reports, dashboards, milestone forecasts, and critical path analyses to support project reviews and governance.

REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma required
  • 15+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling for large capital projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (required).
  • Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) project lifecycles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in construction sequencing and schedule development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of engineering deliverables, design maturity, and long-lead procurement planning.
  • Experience integrating and managing contractor, EPC, and EPCM schedules within a master schedule.
  • Proven ability to perform schedule forecasting, critical path analysis, and recovery planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions, validate project inputs, and maintain schedule integrity while fostering collaborative relationships.
