Job description

Local 3 Long Island Electrical contractor- seeks experienced Project Managers for their growing business to work from the job site on the Upper West Side of Manhattan-

The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing electrical construction projects from inception through completion. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards, client requirements, and applicable electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of electrical construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
  • Develop project schedules and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, and productivity to ensure profitability.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, engineers, architects, general contractors, and field personnel.
  • Prepare and submit project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, submittals, and progress reports.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, NEC requirements, and company safety policies.
  • Resolve project issues, delays, and conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Lead project meetings and provide direction to field supervisors and project teams.
  • Support estimating and preconstruction activities when required.
  • Manage project closeout, including punch lists, final documentation, and customer turnover.
