Who you are:

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of client and internal projects that support Portfolio+'s strategic objectives and deliver meaningful value to our customers. This role ensures projects are effectively planned, executed, and delivered within scope, timeline, and budget while maintaining a strong focus on quality and customer outcomes.

Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, the Project Manager works closely with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to define project goals, coordinate deliverables, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. This role plays a key part in aligning internal teams, managing project progress, and ensuring client expectations are understood and met in a dynamic fintech environment.

What you'll do:

  • Directs and manages project development throughout the entire project life cycle.

  • Defines project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

  • Develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

  • Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

  • Liaises with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.

  • Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

  • Drafts and submits budget proposals and subsequently recommends budget adjustments.

  • Where required, negotiates with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.

  • Determines and assesses need for additional resources and makes the appropriate recruitments if necessary, during project life cycle.

  • Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

  • Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.

  • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path.

  • Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and reporting.

  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals and presentations.

  • Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyzes results, and troubleshoots problem areas.

  • Conducts project postmortems and creates recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

  • Contributes collaboratively to Portfolio+ Inc.'s best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5 + years of experience developing and managing project schedules.

  • Knowledge and experience with common software implementation methodologies.

  • Works independently andfollowestablished processes and guidelines, while challenging and providing recommendations for continuous improvements.

  • Experience developing and managing project schedules.

  • Knowledge of and ability to apply accepted project management concepts.

  • Scope management using a work breakdown structure.

  • Time management using Gantt, and program evaluation methods.

  • Cost management using budgeting and accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and mastery of Confluence and Jira including the Tempo product suite.

  • Experience in business process mapping.

  • Excellent organization skills in particular the ability to manage multiple projects and customers, with competing priorities, simultaneously.
