Project ManagerSalaried-Exempt PositionLocationNorfolk, VAAbout UsWaveforce Electrical is a small but growing business specializing in electrical / electronic ship repair, maintenance and modernization serving private and public shipyards and primarily Government customers. We are dedicated to delivering top-quality services to our clients, ensuring their vessels are maintained to the highest standards. Our team is composed of skilled professionals who are passionate about maritime services and committed to excellence.  Position OverviewThe Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all technical, schedule, financial and other activities associated with assigned ship repair projects. This role requires a detail-oriented and strategic individual who can manage the financial health of ship repair projects while maintaining compliance with technical, safety and quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Operations and other Project Managers to monitor and report progress status. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Overall management responsibilities for assigned projects 
  • Staff and supervise trades personnel appropriate to size of projects 
  • Monitor and track project and operational goals to include established objectives relating to financial, quality, safety or other objectives 
  • Monitor and track program/project performance metrics to include gross/net profit, schedule and quality 
  • Identify out-of-scope work and seek compensation for program changes
  • Write required and / or otherwise necessary conditions found reports (CFRs), track and bring to conclusion
  • Interface with prime contractor customers – maintain and grow customer base in market area 
  • Ensure safety and quality procedures are in compliance with local requirements and are followed 
  • Ensure company policies are followed by all personnel under your supervision 
  • Ensure compliance with customer contracts, federal, state and local laws and regulations 
  • Ensure compliance with EIMB, EPISM and Electrical MIL standards as applicable 
Experience Requirements
  • Five (5) years' experience in project management of shipboard electrical installation and repair services
    • Bachelor's Degree with two (2) years’ experience can be substituted for the above
  • Understanding of NAVSEA Standard Items, ABS and other industry related guidelines as applicable to various programs
  • Understanding of EIMB, EPISM and Electrical MIL standards
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
Other Requirements
  • Must be able to pass Waveforce Electrical pre-employment drug and background screening.
  • Must be able to obtain government facility and/or shipyard access, to include a DBIDS credential, as required by work locations
  • Ability to travel if required (estimated travel <25%)
