About Our Client

Our client is a prominent leader in the commercial construction industry, specializing in high-rise buildings and multi-story parking structures. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and value on every project, leveraging our expertise and innovative approach to meet the needs of our clients.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee projects ranging from $10 million to $35 million. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing Class A high-rise and multi-story parking structures, and be comfortable working in the LA, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas. The Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of project execution, including scoping, buyout, cost control, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight:
    • Manage and oversee projects ranging from $10 million to $35 million, including Class A high-rise buildings and multi-story parking structures.
    • Lead either Design-Build General Contracting Projects or Structural Concrete Subcontractor Projects.

  • Project Management:
    • Handle large-scale parking structures, mid-size office buildings, high-rise towers, transportation and aviation projects, office buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family podiums, government buildings, hotels, green energy projects, NASA, and military projects.
    • Ensure all projects include self-performing structural concrete work as a Union Contractor.

  • Cost Control & Reporting:
    • Review and control project budgets, including self-performed work, in collaboration with the project superintendent.
    • Report on project financials, including P&L, issues, events, applications for payment, and schedule.

  • Communication & Liaison:
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the project site, owner, and general contractor.
    • Write scopes for subcontracts and purchase orders.

  • Project Documentation:
    • Read and interpret detailed plans and specifications.
    • Familiarize yourself with our clientโ€™s project management practices.

  • Team Collaboration:
    • Be a hands-on team player who is actively involved in all aspects of project management rather than delegating tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the commercial building industry, specifically with ground-up new construction of multi-story buildings.
    • At least 5 consecutive years of experience as a Project Manager on projects that are at least a couple of stories tall, excluding residential single-family housing or primarily Tenant Improvement projects.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of scoping, buyout, cost control, and effective communication skills.
    • Familiarity with computerized project management software; Prolog and Converge experience is a plus.
