Job description

Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. is a global security systems provider located in Irondale, Alabama. Our Integrated Controls division is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of integrated security and control systems for mission-critical public safety and correctional facilities. These integrated systems include but are not limited to CCTV, intercom, locking, and access control.

We are currently seeking a qualified Project Manager with the ability to lead projects from contract award to final acceptance. This role demands a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project environment, bridging field operations, client relations, and technical execution. This position reports directly to the Project Executive.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead complex security integration projects, serving as the single point of contact for owners, general contractors, electrical/low voltage subcontractors, and engineering consultants
  • Take ownership of project profitability and risk management. Protect project margins by actively negotiating scope changes, driving accurate cost forecasts, and proactively mitigating budget or schedule overruns.
  • Proactively manage project scope, identifying potential change orders, drafting accurate cost impacts, and issuing formal change orders.
  • Develop and manage overall project and manufacturing schedules. Track and report on project milestones to company leadership.
  • Interpret and analyze design and construction documents, specifications, and technical reports
  • Oversee material procurement schedules, submittals, and long-lead equipment releases to ensure alignment with project schedules.
  • Perform regular site visits for critical project reviews, pre-installation meetings, and commissioning milestones to ensure installation quality aligns with specifications.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation control on project documents and correspondence using industry tools such as Procore, Jira and Smartsheet
  • Direct and hold accountable third-party subcontractors, ensuring work complies with contract documents, schedules, and safety requirements.
  • Manage information flow between admin, design engineering, field/shop teams, and other project stakeholders so that critical documentation and information reach the right personnel at the right time.
  • Related work as required


Qualifications

  • Must be an articulate professional with excellent communication, presentation, and people skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with managers, peers, customers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in use of modern software including but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Jira, Smartsheet, and AI tools.
  • Must have good organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple active jobs.
  • Maintain a clear background and driving record.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required. (Up to 30% travel)


Education and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a project management role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in corrections, public safety, mission-critical, security integration, and/or industrial controls preferred.


Working Conditions

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk for at least 50% of the time.
  • Be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access office equipment and other resources.
  • Be able to operate a computer and related software for a prolonged period, and use office productivity equipment, such as a calculator, copier, and printer.
  • Be able to engage in repetitive motions, such as typing and using a mouse.
  • Be able to communicate effectively, conveying information and ideas clearly so others can understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these interactions.
  • Be able to observe details at close range, e.g. computer screens and printed documents.
