Summary

Mosser Construction is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager for our General Building Department in Fremont/Toledo, Ohio. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and successfully guide mid-to-large construction projects from start to finish. You will collaborate closely with estimators during the preconstruction phase. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, resource coordination, and a strong commitment to safety as well as quality throughout the project lifecycle.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project Management: Develop, manage, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Communication: Engage with clients to establish expectations, communicate progress, and resolve issues, ensuring satisfaction and project success.
  • Collaborative Planning: Work closely with superintendents, estimators, and subcontractors to develop project milestones, solve challenges, and manage construction progress.
  • Subcontractor & Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and subcontractors, managing performance and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify and address critical project risks and time-sensitive issues proactively to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Operational Improvement: Contribute to the companyโ€™s strategic and operational initiatives, driving improvements and growth in project delivery.
  • Bid Support: Assist with bid pursuits, providing valuable input alongside estimators.


REQUIRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Leadership Excellence: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop project teams while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Project Execution: Experience in managing projects to successful completion on time and within budget.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to address and resolve performance and project issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Knowledge in risk management, safety planning, and quality assurance to ensure the highest project standards.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience preferred.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated history of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Software Experience: Knowledge of scheduling and project/planning management software is preferred. Mosser uses including P6 and CMiC.
  • Contract Delivery Experience: Knowledge of alternative delivery such as Design/Build and CM-R is preferred.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience in creating timely forecasts and projections to support department-level financial management and project planning.
