Job description

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Project Manager. Reporting to the Director, Process Design & Change Management , the Project Manager is responsible for the management, coordination and documentation of Knowledge Solutions projects ranging from minimal to high complexity. This position drives projects from initial vision through to completion while working with a diverse team of both internal and external stakeholders.
This position will reside in our Philadelphia office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Identify appropriate resources and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Develop work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
  • Work with Business Analyst and Project Owners to define project charters.
  • Create, analyze and present project risks, remediation and mitigation efforts.
  • Monitor and communicate the status of projects to the Senior Director of Knowledge Solutions with respect to milestones, schedule commitments.
  • Plan and lead planning and review meetings related to projects and report on meeting results.
  • Analyze project performance data and quantify project benefits and success criteria.
  • Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project and progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.
  • Establish and adhere to project budget; seek opportunities to improve project efficiency and reduce expenses by streamlining operations.
  • Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.
  • Follow a defined and agreed upon project management methodology.
  • Develop work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
  • Provide direction and guidance with respect to project activities to members of other departments.
  • Create and document project management policies and procedures.

Experience and qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in MIS, business or accounting and a minimum 5 years Project Manager experience in a professional services organization or equivalent combination of education and experience.
